How do I create an Account or Sign Up at The Arts Central?

STEP 1:
The Arts Central is a leading community showcasing Artists and Art Galleries globally. You can set up your account by clicking on the SIGN UP (To the left of the main banner)
STEP 2:
In order to Login to your account and create your profile, you'll need to verify your email address. If you didn't receive or can't find your verification link, there can be two possible errors to look into.
A. You entered a wrong email address.
B. Your activation email may have landed in your junk or spam folder. Ensure you never miss a message from us again by opening our email and clicking "Not Junk" or "Not Spam".
STEP 3:
Your email has an activation link along with a temporary Username and Password. Once you activate your email address you will be ready to create your profile. Click on the LOGIN link to proceed.

How do I change my Login Name / Username?

Once you LOGIN into The Arts Central with your temporary Username and Password. You will be directed to your profile page. At the top right hand corner under the main search bar you will notice your profile name. The drop drown will reveal the ‘My Profile’ link:
A. Click My Profile

C. Login Name. (Please note that your Login Name and Public profile are linked.)
IMPORTANT TIP: Set your Login Name ONCE.

How do I change my Password?

Once you LOGIN into The Arts Central. You will be directed to your profile page. At the top right hand corner under the main search bar you will notice your profile name.

I forgot my password. What should I do?

Click the 'Login' tab, followed by the ‘Forgot Password’ link. Enter the e-mail address you used to create your TAC account. We will locate your account information and send you an email with your Username and Password.

How do I set my Public profile link?

Navigate to your ‘My Profile’ page, click the 'Edit' tab next to your Public Profile.

How do I update my personal information?

Click the ‘Edit’ tab to the right of your personal information. After you update the relevant fields, click ‘SAVE’ and your done.

How do I add content to ‘My profile’ page?

Adding a brief description about you is important at The Arts Central for Artists and Art Galleries. Keep your content crisp and to the point.
Tip: Avoid posting personal information (address, telephone number, e-mail address or credit card information)

A. Click the ‘Edit’ tab to the right of the default text ‘No Description provided’ add in your content
B. Click ‘SAVE’. The page will auto-refresh. You’re done.

How do I add portfolio images to ‘My profile’ page?

At the moment The Arts Central allows you to add in four portfolio images. We are working hard at increasing this limit.

To upload your images click the ‘Edit’ tab under the four-default portfolio images (this will launch the upload portfolio pop-up). Follow the steps below.
A. Upload (Browse), Add Title and Description.
B. Save each Image
C. Update Portfolio

Why can’t I post a comment?

In order to comment on an Artist / Art Gallery profile or portfolio page you need to be logged in. If you have not signed up please head to the Sign Up section on TAC. http://www.theartscentral.com/signup.php

Commenting is open to all in the ‘Online Exhibition’ pages.

COMMENTS etiquette! DO NOT POST
Hostile, abusive or insulting messages aimed at other members.
Hateful or mean messages towards race, religion, sex, or any other offensive nature.
Personal information about you or anyone else.
No "spamming" -- No advertisements, or referral links to other services.
Turn off your caps lock, do not use excessive ALL CAPS in your posts.

What is a domain name?

A domain name is the name of your website, e.g. www.YourName.com. This is also called a URL or web address.

Why can't I add my domain name to my profile?

The Arts Central vision is to provide an online presence, easily accessible to as many people as possible to view the works and sing praises of independent artists. We would like to grow our online community by engaging our members to interact with one and other through TAC’s website.

Bringing Artists and Art Galleries together is what The Arts Central is all about. Galleries invest incredible amounts of time and effort in publicizing and presenting their artists. Our Team will make sure an interested gallery is put in touch with an artist or vice versa.

Can I link my domain to The Arts Central's website?

Yes, we have an attractive advertising module. Ad spots are located strategically and can be customized to suit a particular Ad.

Head over to the ‘Advertise’ page, type in your email and be part of our advertiser database.

I am interested in exhibiting online. How much does it cost?

While ‘Sign up’ to The Arts Central is absolutely free.

We do have a fee if you want to exhibit online.
